Managing Director

Our Managing Director Gareth Gwynne-Smith has over 25 years’ experience within the professional security and event management industries. Gareth has positioned SES to be market leaders in providing consistently high-quality services to clients; ensuring the company values of professionalism and integrity are upheld at all levels.

Operations Director

Our Operations Director Ian Featherstone has a wealth of experience in security and crowd management. A fully qualified safety and crowd management professional, career highlights include security project management for the Americas Cup World Series, security operations for Isle of MTV Malta and Head of Security for a number of the South’s iconic music venues.

Management and Risk Consultant

Our Management and Risk Consultant, Caroline Harding has over 25 years’ senior management and consultancy experience within the events, health and leisure sectors. Caroline has extensive risk management experience and specialises in event safety. She is a certified Prince2 project manager, crowd manager and TechIOSH accredited safety professional. Caroline is currently enrolled in the University Advanced Diploma in Counter Terrorism Risk Management.

Areas of expertise include:
• Management Consultancy • Risk Consultancy • Project Management  Event Safety Consultancy inc. Crowd Management (level 5) & Safeguarding  (level 3)


Our  Management team are licensed and experienced professionals. We have a 24-hour duty phone to ensure responsiveness. On-call  safeguarding and health and safety expertise are part of our standard service.
