2021 was a challenging year at SES HQ.. many of our clients confirmed late, leaving reduced planning time, events were condensed into a much shorter period and infrastructure was like gold dust.. (and as expensive as gold dust!) Of course, SES managed to pull it out of the bag but there were a few hair-raising moments event for the more folicley-challenged of us (Gareth!)
Our brilliant photographer Lesley Burdett captured some of our highlights. Most of these images are from Warm Up Festival – a boutique festival held in a picturesque Hertfordshire forest. Check out Warm Up’s website for 2022 plans!
Brand new festival Electric Woodlands was another highlight of 2021. Headliners Chase and Status provided ferocious drum’n’bass, trip hop, ragamuffin and happy hardcore for a crowd who might have been too young to remember the 90’s dance scene but still partied like it was 1999..
It was great to be back supporting the local bonfire societies – nobody does it quite like Sussex.. Lewes Bonfire was as spectacular as always and we particularly enjoyed seeing effigies of Dominic Cummings and former Health Secretary Matt Hancock (with his ‘hands, face, disgrace placard) get thrown into the fire. With a reduced crowd of about 30,000 due to Covid-19, our security team contributed to it being a largely trouble-free event.
